The Rewarder Christmas Tree
Engage with "The Rewarder Christmas Tree" pedal the bicycle generator in order to light it up and get voucher points
Description
I would like to propose my idea "The Rewarder Christmas Tree" for the The Giant Tree Experience. It's a rewarder in a sense that every mall visitor who contributed the required energy to power the lights that adorn it will be able to get a voucher point which they can redeem or exchanged for an item from participating stores inside the mall. There would be about 8-10 bicycle powered generator inside the X'mas tree, enough to light it up for a long period of time. It works by converting a simple bicycle into a stationary bike and uses the rider's pedal power to generate energy that can be stored in a power pack. An average rider can produce up to 200 watts of pedal/ride for an hour and which will generate enough to power the Christmas lights. There's a PC/laptop which computes the power/watts exerted by a participant and the rider gets a printed voucher which they can be able to redeem at their chosen store. To encourage participation from mall visitors there would be a marketing campaign where their exerted power contributions can be exchanged or redeemed for an item/merchandise from store outlets. (Ex. 500 watts equals to 20% less of purchase from Nike store, 400 watts means a 15% less when they buy an Apple iPhone X, 200 watts gets them to avail a free movie within the mall theater, etc.) Highest power contributor/visitor of the day enjoys a free makeover. To make the immersive experience inside the tree more fun and attract massive results, each rider can be able to share his/her watts score or achievement to their different social media account using the hashtag #therewarderxmastree thus gathering curiousity about the campaign and branding for the mall. The interior portrays Christmas icons of Santa, reindeers, snowman, gifts and others that light up as Christmas music plays which can be heard both inside and outside. Exterior of the Christmas tree are adorned with impressive light combination that are randomly changed depending on the power exerted by the riders inside. At the end of the global campaign, the participating mall from a country that generates the most power from mall visitors gets to be chosen as "The Rewarder Christmas Tree of the Year". **The projected cost of 8-10 Bicycles, PC/laptops, Bicycle Stands, Bicycle Frames with Back Wheels, 12V Lead Acid Batteries, DC-AC Inverters, DC-DC Battery Chargers, 24V DC Scooter Motors, Fan Belts, Fan Belt Pulleys, Wires, Screws, Wood, and Metal Rods plus the cost and materials for the installation of Christmas Tree, lights and others is less than 25,000 EUR.
