Challenge Goal

How we buy, store and keep our food is a routine task barely changed over the years. We want to ask you: What is the next step in the evolution of how we buy, store, and prepare our foods - and how we can make the refrigerator and/or freezer the central part in this?

The goal of this contest is to come up with tangible ideas and designs to innovate the way we use our refrigerators and/or freezer at home. We are looking for your hardware designs.

How might we improve the food storage user journey through the refrigerator and/or freezer interior?

For your ideation process we recommend using four fields as anchors as we found them to have the highest potential for future innovation.

Inspiration

The good thing about finding ideas to improve refrigerators is that we have all used it before. So you can ask yourself as a customer: What do I want my ideal fridge and/or freezer interior to be like?.

Additionally we have created a map of customer needs that can also guide you through the innovation process.
